With deep roots in the community and an unshakable commitment to social justice, Sharon has taught in public, charter, and higher education institutions, mentored incarcerated women, founded Black Teachers Matter Inc., and led civic initiatives that bridge divides. Whether at the head of a classroom or on the frontlines of advocacy, Sharon brings people together to solve real problems—and she gets results.
Sharon knows the challenges our neighborhoods face: housing that’s out of reach, schools that need support, transportation that doesn’t connect us, and businesses struggling to survive. As a City Councilor, she will be a tireless advocate for affordable housing, strong public education, job creation, and small business development—fighting for everyone from long-time residents to newly arrived immigrants.
